IslandTravelAtlas The route-first guide to island travel Start planning

Research, sourcing, reviews, and commercial independence

This policy defines how IslandTravelAtlas pages should be researched, updated, and monetized.

1. Useful before comprehensive

Pages should solve a clear traveler decision. We prefer a focused guide with verified logistics over a broad page padded with generic destination description.

2. Sources and verification

Time-sensitive schedules, entry rules, prices, service coverage, and provider terms should be checked against primary or official sources when available. Every guide should display a review date and avoid presenting volatile details as permanent facts.

3. Experience claims

Firsthand testing claims require a named author or reviewer, location, date, and a concise methodology. Desk-researched content must not imply personal travel or testing that did not occur.

4. Affiliate independence

Affiliate availability may determine which booking buttons can be offered, but it must not determine the factual conclusion. A provider should not be described as best unless the page explains the criteria and evidence.

5. Corrections

Material errors should be corrected promptly. Report possible errors to hello@islandtravelatlas.com.
